Planting the Christmas Tree
The ground was finally unfrozen enough and dry enough for Mike to get out the tractor and haul our living Christmas tree out of the backyard. It had been sitting in a bucket with water since late December. I wanted it planted in the front yard.
I hesitated to plant this tree in the front yard as our luck with planting live Christmas trees is not good. That point was reinforced for me as I watched Mike loading the tree on the tractor in the backyard. From my balcony viewpoint I could see the last tree we planted. It was the 2018 Christmas tree and we planted it near the pond by the back fence. It was easy to spot as all its needles were brown.
We decided to put the tree in the front yard anyway. No other option really appealed to me anyway.
I am actually really glad we did it. The tree looks great in the front yard and I can see it from my office window too. So nice to get another chore of the honey do list.
