Suzanne, Heath and Laura joined Mike and I at the pond Memorial Day weekend. We a relaxing day that involved good food, a chance to socialize and a great weather.
The first order of business was a joint birthday celebration for Mike and Heath. First, we ate a pizza lunch, and then had our choice of two desserts. In Heath's honor, we had a Twix dessert and, in Mike's honor, we had a Texas Sheet cake. I believe everybody ended up having some of both.
Then we got to the presents. Mike got some Berkley Choppo fishing lures, water shoes, and a handmade (by Heath) fish landing net for the pontoon boat, He also received a homemade (by Kim) man's pillow. It was from a pattern Kathy found. Heath received many wood working tools and several baby outfits. This is because he and Suzanne are expecting a baby in December.
Then the outdoor part of the day began. Suzanne and Heath checked out the pontoon boat. With Suzanne reading while Heath fished. Laura went riding in the jeep and later in the day Bill came to join us. He got some fishing in both on land and on the water when he joined Heath on the pontoon boat.
It was a great day to be together. And it was a great way to kick off summer at the pond.

I"m so happy for your first grandchild, Suzzane looks beautiful, becoming mother must become her. You will probably be like Scott, he gives up fishing to baby sit.
