Della

I thought Suzanne took a lot of dog pictures but Emily just visited and I think she takes more.  At least between the two of them, I occasionally get a break as official Peterson family photographer.  

Emily first met Della on October 15, the day after she arrived in town.  Mike and I took all the dogs to St. Louis to properly welcome Emily home.  

Emily loved Della.  She even slept with her for a whole week.  At first, Emily greatly enjoyed her nights with Della.  However, by the end of the week, I think Emily might have been craving more sleep and less puppy.

While Emily was here, Della posed for many pictures.  

But do not be fooled.  Della is a very busy dog.  She rides in the truck with Mike and Frankie every day to visit Grandma.  

She checks on the chickens when Mike does.  

Actually, this is not a good thing.  Somehow she is walking through the electric fence and right up to the chickens.  

She also loves to play with the other dogs although she has learned to leave grumpy Blackie alone, most of the time.

And she does love to take naps.  Although taking them with someone is always a favorite.  

Mike and I have greatly enjoyed having Della here.  As a fringe benefit, we have found that she is particularly good at enticing our daughters to come visit.  Even during a pandemic.
