Construction Update #6

Mike and I took our usual early morning walk around the pond today.  As we looked across the pond at the back of the house, we noticed something that wasn't there yesterday.  There was a hole in the roof that hadn't been there before.

We finished the walk and headed over to the house to investigate.  However, we couldn't get in.  While we were gone they had installed the garage door and we were locked out.  

Fortunately we had a meeting with Larry our contractor scheduled for 10 am.  We were going to walk through with Larry to determine where all the electrical outlets, lighting fixtures, canned lights and television wiring needed to be placed.  (I never knew how many decisions were involved in house building.)  When we got to the meeting we found the purpose for the hole in the roof.    

It is the chimney for the fireplace vented gas log.
