Construction Update #15

On Thursday it happened!!  The first brick was put on the house.  And a lot more followed.

I think we picked that brick in November.  It was great to see it finally on the house.

Unfortunately it rained on Friday so no brick was laid.  Larry, our building contractor, says that when it rains the mortar slides right off the brick.

The brick layers began in the back of the house outside of Mike's office.

However, work on the inside of the house can continue no matter what the weather.  So the dry wall company has been able to work both Thursday and Friday of this week.

All the dry wall has been installed and now they are adding tape.
Here the dry wall guy is on stilts so he can get to the basement 9 foot ceiling quickly and efficiently.  

I might have known.
Thing One and Thing Two put her up to trying out the dry wallers stilts while he was away.
