Living in a House again

It is nice living in a house again.  I really enjoyed living in our 500 square foot apartment but I have adjusted to house living now and don't miss the apartment at all.  I like having more space.

It had gotten to the point in the apartment that I hated going to the grocery store because I would have to come home and put the groceries away.  There wasn't enough room to set the groceries down in the apartment let alone unload them.  And then I would have to find a place to put the items.  In the house, that is not a problem.  Plenty of surface space with all the kitchen counters, a kitchen table and even the boot bench in the mud room.  Not to mention I have a pantry again.

Pantry ready for a visit from Emily and her friends this coming weekend
I also love having my own office again.  In the shed, I let Mike have the desk and I used the island.  The island was our kitchen table, my office, and the largest available work space.  I had to keep cleaning it off since we constantly needed that space.  I don't have to clean my desk now and the chair is more comfortable than that bar stool.

Of course, Mike has also found things he enjoys about the house as compared to the shed.  I know he loves having the dog room although we are still having to convince Buddy and Little Girl to use it.  However, I am not sure that is his favorite room in the house.  I actually think it might be the garage.  For the first time since he moved here he has been able to park his truck out of the weather.  A big plus!

This was taken before the concrete pad was poured.
Right now both our cars are being parked outside as we wait for the concrete to cure.
