Planting Time is Here

Fall, says my landscaper, is the best time to plant a lawn.  It is also his busiest time but somehow we have gotten on his agenda and he actually came on Friday to begin the process of landscaping the front of our house.

When Dale first arrived, it was raining.
It wasn't suppose to be raining but as Mike says there was one cloud in the sky and it was right over us.  

Dale really wanted to get the downspouts in so he hung around until it stopped raining.  

Mike was really impressed with Dale's Ditch Witch machine.
Our front lawn area looks a lot smoother now.  

Grass seed will also be sown in the side yard and in the center of the circular driveway.  

Now we are waiting for the dirt around the house to dry out from the rain we received over the weekend.  Sometime after that Dale will be back to plant grass seed and then later in the fall he will actually landscape around the front of the house.  In the meantime, we wait.  We are getting really good at that.
