DogVacay

Normally I throw the AARP magazine out as soon as it comes. I look at that magazine and feel old.  However, they had a picture of Tom Selleck on the front so I actually opened it.  And that's where I learned about DogVacay.

DogVacay is a website that matches dog owners who are going on vacation with people who are willing to 'host' their dog while the owners are out of town.  I was thinking we would be good 'hosts'.  After all we have been practicing with Blackie.  I'm thinking we could use him as a reference.  We could include pictures of him and the other dogs on a website that could advertise our 'hosting' skills.

So I have been trying to collect pictures to show the dogs having a great time at the farm.  These are all I have so far.

Visitor Blackie enjoying the outdoors on a fall day.

Gracie napping.  Again.

Gracie surveying her domain.
Actually she was watching Mike and I working in the backyard.

Mike and I taking the dogs for a 2.5 mile hike through the timber.
Of course, we only started doing that this week.
The last time we took them around was before the crops were planted in April.

It has been harder than I though getting pictures of happy dogs.  Plus we have all those problems with Little Girl and Emily (the dog) going through dog doors when they shouldn't.  And not to mention Mabel constantly sneaking off to go across the street to Lois's and Frank's house.  I think I will have to give this idea of 'hosting' dogs some more consideration.
