Wedding Anniversary

Today is my 26th wedding anniversary.  It has been a pretty quiet day except for the Fitbit incident.  That occurred this morning when after taking care of the chickens I came back to the house, noticed I had mud on my pants and threw them in the washing machine.  I had a bunch of towels and placemats and stuff that needed washing so I immediately started a load.  When I went back later to move the load to the dryer I saw that I had left my Fitbit attached to my pants.

My Fitbit is basically a pedometer that not only keeps tracks of my steps but uploads the data to my computer.  The software produces all sorts of charts including one that shows how many active minutes I have had for the day.  It looked like my Fitbit had survived the washing machine so I went to check the data upload.  During the time the Fitbit was in the washing machine I had gone up 15 flights of stairs, walked 3000 steps and had 42 active minutes.  That was pretty impressive since I had actually been sitting in my desk chair that entire time.

Anyway, the only other outstanding moments of the day occurred at sunset.  I was sitting out on my balcony in my new chairs enjoying a cup of raspberry tea and saw a particularly beautiful sunset.  I took a moment to count my blessings including twenty-six years married to a wonderful man, and took this picture.  Definitely a good day.
