Deer Season

We talked to Hunter's mother today.  Hunter's mom is our vet as well as our neighbor.  We brought Buddy in to see her today and asked about the kids.  It turned out Hunter , who is 4, had an exciting time recently.  It was deer hunting season last week and he got to sit in a deer stand with his dad.  They saw a deer and Hunter made the decision to have his dad shoot it.  Supposedly Hunter was beyond excited when his dad was successful.  He actually wanted to continue hunting with his dad but then Hunter had to go to the bathroom so they called it a day.

That got Mike and I wondering how the deer we have been seeing on our property fared during deer season.  We went out to check the game camera and this is what we found.

The fox can still lead Mabel on a merry chase.  

The squirrels are active.  

Still have raccoons.

And yeah, we still have deer.
