Shipping Dates

December 15 is the last day to ship items parcel post through the United States Post Office and be pretty much guaranteed that they will be delivered before Christmas.  I know this because I researched those dates last week.

Since October I have had this plan to sew some Christmas presents.  However, I kept procrastinating and they still weren't finished as of early last week.  I finally looked up the shipping dates to see if that would get me motivated and it worked.  I had to get those items in the mail or all my plans for homemade Christmas presents would have been in vain.

I only mention all this to explain why Mike has been at loose ends.  I have been stuck, I mean, enjoying myself in the sewing room and he has had to find things to do without me.  As a result, he actually got some Christmas shopping done.  That is impressive.  Usually he is buying presents the day before Christmas.  He also found some other things to do.

The weather has been incredibly warm.
It has been in the 60's for about a week.
Mike took advantage and went fishing once again.

He caught four fish.  Apparently the last fish was the biggest.

Then the other day I found him in the kitchen baking.  He wanted some oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and knew I was not going to make them for him.

This is the picture Mike wants you to see.
Notice how clean he kept the kitchen while he was baking.
This is the picture I want you to see.
Notice him eating the cookie dough.  Just like the girls do.
Wonder where they get it from.
Anyway, things are back to normal around here.  I finished my sewing projects on December 14.  The gifts will arrive in time for Christmas.
