Run for the Chocolate

There was a 5K run/walk in St. Louis this past Saturday.  The start and finish line were at the Bissinger chocolate factory.  They gave out free chocolate before the run, during the run and after the run.  Emily, her friend Mason, Laura, Mike and I participated in the race.  As far as I am concerned the best part of the race was all that chocolate.  The worst part of the race was that it was only 11 degrees out.

BEFORE THE RACE:
Mike had initially agreed to walk the race with me if he could bring Frankie along.
The race literature said dogs were allowed but on the day of the race it was way too cold
for Frankie to walk.
So Laura's friends Taylor and Michelle took him back to Laura's apartment and dog sat him during the race.
I'm pretty sure they were grateful for the excuse to get inside.

AFTER THE RACE:
Mike took this picture of Emily, Mason, Laura and myself enjoying our chocolate.
Laura and I are holding hot chocolate cups (mine has chocolate covered peppermint marshmallows in it).
Emily is eating her chocolate fondue.  It was served with oreos, bananas, pretzels and cookies.

Shown below are our race times.  Mike and I were the only two who walked the course.  I set our walking pace and there were a few times that Mike had to run to catch up with me.  Knowing that, I just don't understand how he managed to finish the race one second faster than me.  We are going to have to have a rematch.
