Guest Fisherman
The last blog post about Sela and Eli's visit has to cover fishing. Fishing is a major activity at the pond. I think the fishing here is the reason we have so many repeat visitors. Those who return do so because they say they had more fun fishing here then anywhere else. I believe fun in fishing lingo means they caught more fish here than anywhere else.
Sela does so well fishing in our pond that she has quit counting how many fish she catches. Now both she and Eli measure their success by which type of fish they catch (blue gill, bass and catfish) and how big.
Day 1
Fishing with worms requires lots of help. Here Andy is helping Eli but Gracie and Mabel think they should be involved too.
Andy became an expert at removing blue gills from Eli's hook because Eli caught a lot of them.
A familiar sight- Sela catching a two pound bass on the new ultralight combo rod.
Mike was assigned to scooping Sela's bass out of the water although Gracie would have gladly handled that part.
An exhausted but successful Sela.
Oops! How did this picture get in here. My first fish.
Day 7- Looks familiar. Sela catching more bass.
Day 11
Eli with his bass.
Sela with her nearly 5 pound catfish.
