Easter Sunday

The girls spent Easter weekend in Las Vegas with Aunt Kathy.  Although they were there only a few days, they managed to eat at two of Iron Chef Bobby Flay's restaurants.  I only mentioned this because they could have chosen to stay in Illinois and partaken of a meal cooked by their parents and made from foods found right here on our property.  You cannot get any fresher than that.

I even decorated the table as it was a special occasion.

Mike and I served his brother and parents farm fresh eggs drizzled with salsa (made from my homegrown tomatoes) and even served appetizers.  We had morel mushrooms that had been picked on our property by Peterson family members.  Mike used my Christmas present and air fried them.  Can Bobby Flay beat that?

After dinner we did not have the option to go gambling or to a Vegas show but we did get to hike on a nature trail right on our own property.

At least I know, that whether here or in Las Vegas all of our family members had an enjoyable day.
