Redecorating

There have been some changes to my office recently.

First I have added a decoration to my wall.  I made a 'Fold n'Stitch Wreath'.

Then I added a new machine to my office.  I had to move the computer printer to do it.  My office is now looking less like a business office and more like sewing central.  In addition to my existing Janome sewing machine I now have an embroidery only machine.  

Fortunately, I kept the laptop computer in my office.  Turns out I need it to help with doing machine embroidery.  I use the computer to track down machine embroidery files I want to use.  Than I load them on a memory stick and insert them in a USB drive in the embroidery machine.  With the machine, and embroidery hoop and thread, I am then all set to embroider.  Here is a picture of my first practice session at home using the instruction book.  Mike insisted on the center design.  I chose the leaves.  

I am not entirely sure what projects I will be doing with my new embroidery machine.  However, I am signed up for two beginner classes at the shop where I bought the machine.  Hopefully I will get some ideas on what I can make from the classes.  In the meantime, I have a great place to practice.
