The Twelve Days of Christmas

Aunt Kathy helps our family members prepare for Christmas during the Advent season by providing us with gifts leading up to Christmas Day.  She begins twelve days out from Christmas.  This year she even included Mike and I.  When I received the twelve day presents she sent for Emily, Mike and I, I had to give them their own Christmas tree.

So far my favorite gifts have involved sewing.  Emily was very excited to learn she can use the computer to budget with the new software provided by Aunt Kathy.  And Mike has decorated my refrigerator with his new dog butt magnets and fire hydrant.  

However, I think Mike like his emergency compliment book best.  He tried many of the compliments out on me.  Here are a few-

'You look breathtaking in fluorescent lighting.'

'No one at the karaoke bar wants to be the act to follow you.'

It was so thoughtful of Aunt Kathy to send us these presents.
