Time for a change
Even though I do not get their store much anymore, I have noticed that Starbucks has a new blond expresso and is changing up its drinks menu again. I am guessing that is a necessary component of staying in business. They must entice the consumer with ever better and newer drinks.
I guess I am not immune to this desire to make a change occasionally. I have been drinking my morning coffee with the same Coffeemate Dairy Creamer for years but just last week I actually decided to try a new one. I buy the Natural Bliss Dairy Creamer vanilla flavor. They have not had a new Natural Bliss flavor in a couple of years. However, now they are experimenting with different milks and have even added some different flavoring to the regular milk creamer. I decided to try Honey Pecan. It even had fewer calories which was another plus. However, I am back to my old standby. Either I could not stomach the flavor or the change. However, it is February and Valentine's Day is coming so when Mike and I checked out a drive thru coffee kiosk in Vandalia the other day, I had to try the Strawberry Shortcake Latte. It definitely tasted of strawberries which I liked. However, I think that I can wait until next February to have my next one. This kind of sweetness goes a long way.
I did like this new coffee place though. They are open seven days a week until early evening unlike the Greenville coffee shop. They also have a more complete menu than the Greenville place. And they have been open a year already so hopefully they are here to stay.
So I'd say change is not a bad thing. In fact, I cannot wait to try whatever specialty coffee Shimoji has for the next holiday.
