What's Up, Mike?
Mike did not like last Wednesday's post that talked about all the recent activities of the Peterson's and Zurns but did not include any mention of him. So today I will make up for that omission.
Mike has actually been doing some shopping recently. He bought himself three new caps. Notice two of them are exactly the same. Those highlight his favorite Cub logo and are getting very hard to find. Please note he already has about 5 hats with this same logo but they are no longer new. So Mike went online shopping for 'Sunday go to meeting' hats with the intention of adding to but not replacing any of his current collection.
Mike continued with his shopping trend by purchasing a sign for the chicken coop. In case you cannot read the photo is says in red letters, "KEEP GATE CLOSED". Underneath in black letters it says, "No matter what the chickens say." This was obviously a frivolous purchase as the chicken's cannot read and only Mike and I even go thru that gate.
Besides shopping, Mike has been in the kitchen cooking. His specialty is fried red potatoes the way Granny made them. I brought home a ten pound bag of red potatoes so Frank, Lois and I have been eating a lot of potatoes this past week.
Of course, Mike has been able to find time for his absolutely favorite activity- fishing. His first time on the pond this year was February 15. He has been back since and supposedly caught two fish but I have no proof. He says the fish were too small to bother to photograph. At least I was able to get a photograph of him on the pond.
Hopefully, this post has now rectified the unintended slight of last weeks post. Now my readers know about all of our family members activities including Mike.
