Kim's Birthday
Mike, Laura and I celebrated my birthday several days early last week. It all started months ago when I asked them to go with me to see a Shania Twain concert in St. Louis. Once we had the tickets it made sense to plan to go out to dinner beforehand. Then, when I realized that Laura got out of work at 1:30 pm on concert day, we decided to get together for the afternoon too. We added a trip to the St. Louis outlet mall to the schedule. Both Laura and I needed new workout shoes.
That was the plan. We had a good time doing all those things. But still we manage to add one more stop.
Laura treated herself to an Apple Watch and she took the opportunity during our shopping trip and at dinner at the Spaghetti Factory to show it off. The patrons at the Spaghetti Factory may have thought we were crazy. During dinner Laura demonstrated how she could take a picture on her camera but using her watch to do so. The result is the picture below.
Mike, Laura and I were having so much fun with Laura's watch that we decided to both get one. So on our way to the concert we stopped at Best Buy. After all how could we go on living without a watch that tells us the weather, causes the cell phone to ping when it gets lost, counts our steps, receives emails, notifies you when your cell phone is ringing, and, in my case, places and receives telephone calls?
Needless to say, I had a great birthday. It involved all of my favorites- Italian food, country music and shopping.
