Connor Visits the Pond
Two year old Connor brought his parents to visit the pond. As his family has access to a lake house, I am not sure why he wanted to drive over an hour to our house except for the fact that his friend Laura was here and we have chickens.
Connor, his dog Fin, and Laura enjoyed the pedal boat. Fin could not decide if being in the boat was more fun than swimming or not. During the entire trip, he jumped out of the boat and then when he got tired Laura would have to pull him in for a rest. He did this multiple times.
Now that I look at these pictures, I am not sure if Connor's attraction to the chickens was the actual chickens or the fact that he could move their food from the feed bucket to the poultry feeder and back. All we know for sure was that he really enjoyed spending time in the chicken runs. He even went into the big coop and found some eggs.
Even an outdoorsman such as Connor needed a break from the sun. He condescended to come into our house to play with some toys and eat lunch. He was pretty much thumbs down on any food that I had made but fortunately he had brought his own.
Connors parents convinced him to head home mid afternoon as they wanted to make sure he had an early evening after his exciting day at the pond. I do not know if that plan worked for them or not. The last I heard he was so tired he actually fell asleep in the car which we were informed is a very rare occurrence.
As a result, I think we can call Connor and family's first trip to the pond a great success. Hopefully, they will come back for a return visit.
