We have had a pile of rock in the drive in front of Morton Building Number 2 for awhile now and, for about the same period of time, I have been helpfully giving Mike suggestions on how to get rid of it. Just recently, I mentioned creating an artistic landscaping area in the middle of our circular drive with it but Mike says it is the wrong kind of rock. I also suggested we use it for filling in holes in the driveway but apparently it is not the right kind of rock for that either. However, my suggestions may have done some good because Mike suddenly came up for a good use for the rock all on his own.
I caught onto his plan when I noticed him driving the tractor around the rock pile. When I went out to check what was happening, he had already moved quite a bit of rock over to the dock. He was using it to create a more level area to walk and drive to the dock. The rock also had the advantage of eliminating tall weeds in that area as well as mud after a rain. It was a perfect use for that rock.
Unfortunately, there is still some rock left. Although the pile is a lot smaller and not quite so noticeable. I guess Mike is still feeling concerned that I might make some more suggestions for using the rest of the rock because now he is talking about moving the remainder to appease my aesthetic sensibilities. Works for me.
